Description
We are looking for a Principal Data Scientist with a strong background in geotechnical engineering and extensive experience in using and interpreting InSAR and associated ground movement technologies. This role focuses on commercial applications and delivery of InSAR products in geotechnical investigations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of InSAR products for geotechnical applications
- Interpret InSAR data in the context of geotechnical investigations
- Consult with clients on site-specific applications of InSAR technology
- Develop and implement best practices for InSAR use in geotechnical engineering
- Travel to client sites in Canada and internationally as required
Requirements:
- Master's or Ph.D. in Geotechnical Engineering or related field
- Professional Engineering (P.Eng.) certification in Canada
- 10+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering with a focus on InSAR applications
- Extensive knowledge of ground movement technologies and their integration with InSAR
- Strong client-facing skills and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
- Excellent project management and team leadership skills
