Description
About KorrAI
KorrAI is building the next generation of intelligent geospatial infrastructure monitoring. We combine satellite data, ground sensors, and AI to deliver actionable insights for risk assessment and sustainable development. Our work spans mining, insurance, and critical infrastructure sectors—turning geospatial complexity into real-time, reliable decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Process, analyze, and visualize geospatial data from diverse sources (satellite, drone, IoT, etc.).
- Develop and maintain automated geospatial pipelines using Python or similar languages.
- Work with remote sensing datasets (e.g., Sentinel, Landsat, commercial VHR), vector datasets, and raster processing.
- Integrate GIS layers into spatial databases and applications for client delivery.
- Support the production of high-quality maps, dashboards, and technical reports.
- Collaborate with data scientists on model inputs, validation datasets, and visualization of outputs.
- Assist with spatial modeling, classification, and risk mapping for mining, insurance, or infrastructure monitoring projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in GIS, Geography, Environmental Science, Remote Sensing, Computer Science, or related field.
- Proficiency in Python for geospatial data processing (e.g., using geopandas, rasterio, shapely, fiona, pyproj, xarray, GDAL).
- Experience with QGIS and/or ArcGIS.
- Familiarity with handling large-scale satellite datasets and spatial data formats (GeoTIFF, GeoJSON, COGs, etc.).
- Strong understanding of coordinate reference systems (CRS), reprojection, and spatial analysis techniques.
- Version control experience using Git.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with cloud-based geospatial tools like Google Earth Engine, STAC APIs, or Planetary Computer.
- Familiarity with web mapping tools (e.g., Leaflet, Folium, Mapbox, or CesiumJS).
- Understanding of InSAR, NDVI/NDWI workflows, or machine learning for geospatial applications.
- Exposure to databases like PostGIS or spatial REST APIs.
What We Offer
- Opportunity to work at the cutting edge of geospatial AI and remote sensing.
- Collaborative and mission-driven team.
- Remote-first, flexible working culture.
- Competitive salary and growth opportunities.
